Our new macaw aviary in Valle Tucan
a paradise for our feathered friends
We're thrilled to introduce you to our brand-new macaw aviary at Valle Tucan! We've welcomed four beautiful macaws: Toni, Blue, Paco, and Silvesta. These stunning parrots were rescued from an old hotel complex that sadly had to close. There, they lived in poor conditions in small aviaries—a sad fate we couldn't allow to continue.
Although we are fundamentally opposed to keeping wild birds, the welfare of these macaws was very important to us. Because they were born in captivity, we were able to save them from being moved to other owners who often offered limited space and inadequate conditions. Therefore, we built a spacious, unparalleled aviary for our feathered friends in Valle Tucan.
With an impressive height of 8 meters and a length of 20 meters, the aviary offers the macaws plenty of space to fly, climb, and play—exactly what these intelligent and social animals need. A real highlight is the 7-meter-high parrot rock statue in the center of the aviary, which is not only a visual eye-catcher but also provides the birds with an exciting environment.
We've installed countless lilies and branches for our macaws so they can climb everywhere and use their powerful beaks to their full potential. Did you know that macaws are incredibly intelligent birds that develop a kind of "language" with their fellow macaws and can live up to 80 years? Our four feathered friends will be with us for a long time to come and provide us with many exciting moments.
The aviary is located in the recreational area of Valle Tucan and is freely accessible to all residents and visitors. A comfortable bench invites you to observe the macaws up close—a truly unique experience for families, nature lovers, and anyone who wants to experience life in Paraguay up close.
At Valle Tucan, we view animals as a vital part of our habitat. That's why we're already planning a large green zone where other animals, such as pigs, donkeys, and rheas, will soon find a home. This will create a vibrant community of people and animals, ideal for families and anyone who values nature and sustainability.
If you want to experience life in Paraguay, and especially in the Valle Tucan, then come and visit our macaw aviary. Toni, Blue, Paco, and Silvesta are looking forward to your visit – a true highlight of your trip to paradise!
A big advantage: You can travel to Germany in summer, without having to worry about your house or property. The local community look after each other – Houses are occupied or assisted. So your home remains safe even in your absence safe and well-maintained.
