THE VISION

"The best way to predict the future is to create it."

A future created together

Valle Tucán should not grow through a rigid plan, but through people who get involved. Some ideas will emerge faster, others will take time. The crucial thing is that the direction is right: more community, more connection to nature, more meaning in everyday life, and more spaces for a good life.

We want to find out which services are really needed – for families, children, creative individuals, older people, and everyone who wants to live consciously in a vibrant place.

The future of Valle Tucán is being created step by step.

A place for families and children

Families play an important role in our future planning. We want to develop Valle Tucán into a place where children can grow up safely, freely, and close to nature.

In this regard, we are considering offerings such as childcare, forest education, shared play, and family-friendly meeting places. A beautiful playground, joint activities in nature, or small educational programs could become part of life here in the future.

Valle Tucán can be a special place, especially for families with young children: lots of green space, little traffic, natural materials, a sense of community, and room to explore.

Attractive offers for families are in the planning. Families interested in living in Valle Tucán or who would like to contribute their own ideas are welcome to contact us.

Community garden and a park in the middle of the settlement

Valle Tucán's livelihood depends on its landscape. That's why we are also thinking about communal garden spaces: places where vegetables, herbs, fruit trees, or flowers can be cultivated together.

A community garden can be more than just a growing space. It can be a meeting place, a learning environment, and a connecting element. Children can see how plants grow. Adults can share knowledge. Residents can create something together that benefits everyone.

Creative spaces, workshops, and collaborative work

Another important thought for the future is creative spaces and workshops. Valle Tucán is not only intended to be a place to live, but also a place where people can create, build, repair, learn, and work.

Shared workshops, small studios, workspaces, or rooms for courses and projects are conceivable. People with manual, artistic, pedagogical, or organizational skills could find a place here to contribute and simultaneously be part of the community.

These facilities are intended to be created gradually – out of genuine need, out of concrete ideas, and with people who are eager to bring such spaces to life.

Altern, Pflege und ein neues Verständnis von Gemeinschaft

The topic of aging and care is also interesting for the future of Valle Tucán. Paraguay offers special opportunities for many people from Europe: a warm climate, more space, lower living costs, and a quieter environment.

We are thinking about how Valle Tucán can remain attractive for older people in the long term. This is not about a classic nursing home, but about how co-housing, mutual support, and later care could be meaningfully combined.

Smaller forms of housing, supportive services, on-demand care services, or collaborations with people in the care sector are conceivable. It is important not to create anything artificially, but to examine what is really needed and what is humanly, organizationally, and economically sensible.

People with experience in nursing, caregiving, therapy, or age-appropriate living are welcome to contact us if they are interested in this career path.

The leisure area

On an area of around 4 hectares in Valle Tucan, a leisure complex is being built that includes various facilities such as an auditorium, a restaurant with extensive terraces and, as the main attraction, a large rock pool. Here, residents and visitors will have the opportunity to come together to enjoy a delicious meal or a refreshing drink while taking in the breathtaking views over the Cordillera.

The rock pool will undoubtedly be the centerpiece of the leisure complex in Valle Tucan. This impressive outdoor pool offers residents and visitors alike the opportunity to refresh themselves in a picturesque setting between imposing rocks and shady trees and to swim their morning laps in an approximately 25-metre-long pool. A waterfall cascades down from a 5-metre-high rock face and hides a mysterious dark grotto behind it, which invites you to explore. A slide leads through a small jungle from above into the pool, while parents can look down on their children from above. Sun loungers on a peninsula in the middle of the water invite you to sunbathe and relax.

Scattered around the rock pool are scattered terraces surrounded by nature and connected by winding paths. Here, visitors can take a seat under the shade of large trees, listen to the gentle lapping of the water and have a refreshing drink served by the waiters. The restaurant is located around 80 meters from the rock pool on a hill overlooking the entire Cordillera.

A further portal in the leisure area grants access to external visitors. A surrounding fence protects the privacy and tranquillity of the residents from prying eyes from outside. Internal access means that only the residents of Valle Tucan can use the pool around the clock.
